Empowering Africa’s Youth. Preventing Irregular Migration

Empowering Africa’s youth to build opportunity at home.

Our Vision

The STAY Africa Programme transforms the forces that drive young Africans toward unsafe migration into opportunities that ground them in dignity, stability, and hope.

Through market-relevant skills training, enterprise incubation, and psychosocial support, the programme equips youth to work, grow businesses, and rebuild communities across Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Sudan.

Each participant gains the tools to create employment, restore confidence, and strengthen local resilience — building futures at home rather than risking lives abroad.

Vocational Skills Training

STAY Africa equips young people with market-relevant, practical skills that lead directly to employment.
Training focuses on high-demand sectors including construction, renewable energy, ICT, and agribusiness — all designed with employer input to ensure graduates are not just trained, but employable.

Enterprise Development & Incubation

Training alone is not enough. STAY Africa provides youth with access to start-up capital, mentorship, and enterprise networks to transform ideas into viable businesses.
The goal is not only self-employment but job creation that uplifts entire communities and strengthens local economies.

Psychosocial Support & Community Resilience

Migration is not only about economics — it is also about identity and hope.
Many young people carry deep trauma from conflict, poverty, or exploitation. Through counselling, peer networks, and community engagement, STAY Africa restores dignity, confidence, and belonging to help rebuild resilient communities.

“Before STAY Africa, our youth saw no future except to leave.
Today, they have skills, confidence, and real opportunities to build their lives at home.”
